STEP 1 · BEFORE YOU FLY
Before you fly: visa and pre-arrival declaration
Visa-free stays depend on your passport (Korean passports: 45 days, any purpose, until 14 March 2028).
For longer stays, Vietnam's e-visa allows up to 90 days (single entry US$25, multiple US$50).
Since 2026 Da Nang also takes the pre-arrival declaration at prearrival.immigration.gov.vn, from 3 days before arrival. It is strongly advised rather than mandatory, and it shortens the immigration queue.
STEP 2 · IMMIGRATION

International flights arrive at Terminal 2 (Terminal 1 is domestic). Have your passport and onward ticket ready. Both terminals have a Da Nang visitor support center.
STEP 3 · BAGGAGE
Baggage claim
Check the screens for your belt number. SIM counters and money exchange are in baggage claim and the arrivals hall.
Bag didn't arrive? Report it before leaving the airport, at your airline's (or ground handler's) counter in baggage claim. Keep the report and photos of your bag tag.

Licensed taxis wait outside arrivals 24/7 and may add an airport entry fee (about 10,000–30,000 VND). Fares are indicative, so checking the fixed price in the Grab app before you ride is easiest.
STEP 5 · DATA & CASH

Free Wi-Fi in both terminals, slow when several flights land together.
SIM counters in baggage claim and arrivals; data plans from about 150,000 VND.
Exchange counters take KRW, USD and more, but city rates are usually better, so change just enough for the ride.
ATMs: arrivals ground floor and Hall A level 2.
STEP 6 · LATE NIGHT
Landing late at night
Buses stop around 7 pm, but licensed taxis run 24 hours, and the city is close. Staying in Hoi An? Booking your hotel's pickup in advance makes a late arrival easy.
